In the news today is an announcement about a new search engine setting its sights on rivaling the giant Google. "Cuil" (pronounced "cool") and its technology will attempt to better understand a site's meaning beyond the links to it, and the terms people use to find information. Search results are displayed in magazine style instead of list, and Cuil will not keep track of the search terms. We'll have to see how it goes...

My wife was telling me all about this service earlier. She's impressed.
Let's hear it for the underdogs...
The Natural State Hawg
Its impressive... but its search results are based on contents and not on popularity basis. It is also said that it is developed by ex- google employees as a rival site.
