NY Times Spoofed

. Wednesday, November 12

There is no doubt that this is the headline that everyone wants to see, and yesterday, people in NY City were treated with this spoof of a NY Times Special Edition paper available for free. Well, it's not true. The NY Times is never free. The particularly convincing take-off of the popular news paper was put out by a group called The Yes Men, a liberal group of pranksters. The paper includes stories about Bush indicted for treason, Rice apologizing for the weapons of mass destruction lies, and America finally getting national health care. Without the tongue in cheek, some are saying that the spoof paper is a "vision of what some want to see when Obama takes control."  That sort of ruins the joke, don't you think?

That's some pretty scary stuff - especially if it does end up coming true.

Well, it's stuff for dreams and wishful thinking. It would be irresponsible to pull out of Iraq ASAP. I'd much rather see a permanent base there.

It would be nice to see everyone with health care. According to the news today, the first year of Obama's nationalized plan would cost $75 billion. Within a few years it will be up in the trillions to keep running, so it's not feasible.

I always thought it a bit ironic that Clinton could be impeached for lying about getting a blowjob, but Bush was safe for his blunders. But alas, the past is the past, let bygones be bygones.

I have to wonder how long it will take before people figure out that Obama has been placed on a pedestal he doesn't deserve and that everyone is acting like cult followers racing each other to see which one can jump off the cliff first.
